The Seed

Erin Seabold, Founder and CEO of The Seed, moved her career from southern California to Denver in 2007. Since then, she and partner Kathy Leeman have been named "Business of the Year" by the Colorado Business Women Association-DTC Chapter by connecting entrprepreneurs to resources. "Through social media,” says Seabold, ”our world has become smaller and more connected. From our base in Denver, we plan to connect female leaders around the world to make the collective voice of women voice louder, to open new doors and create an equal and plentiful world for all.” Seabold’s connecting efforts precede her Internet platform. Many women who started with our Boutique for the Soul networking organization three years ago now have full fledged business here in Colorado that grew from the relationships we helped them establish. These include Advanced Body Dynamics, owned by Kelly & Pat Shockley; and Courtesy Boot Camp, owned by Anthonette Klinkerman.

Visitors to http://www.theseedconnection.com will find that Seabold and Leeman have, "created a niche based around a passion to support women entrepreneurs.” Services available to members include, "job and event postings, non-profit volunteer and donation opportunities, women- and business-oriented blogs and resource matching technology. They can sell their items, purchase books or educational materials, find classes and training and an easy to use platform to find additional resources and connections.” Membership is $60 per year. A smaller list of services is available to non-members. "The goal with the site, according to Seabold, "is to bring all of the resources that business women need into one space for a low cost. It takes so much time to research what is out there and we felt that we needed to bring the information to the members so that they could spend their time doing what they do best.”

Why Denver? Seabold says, "Denver has such a wonderful collection of creative and talented women entrepreneurs . I feel a deep need to know and work with each of them to learn, grow and connect them to women who need their support and expertise.”
